CARIBBEAN / A BIRTHDAY WEEK IN PROVO

Turks and Caicos

Five days, two villas’ worth of family, a floating party, a boat day and that beach.

Discover it → Experience it → Plan it.

How this guide works: the story behind the place, what I actually did there, and how to plan your own trip.

THE STORY

It was a birthday trip. Provo showed out.

We came to celebrate my partner’s 40th with family and friends. The beach was the most beautiful I’ve ever seen, but the week was just as much about the people, food and time together.

I’ve put the whole five-day story in one place, from the villa and Fish Fry to a private chef and our catamaran afternoon. Read the full birthday story ↗

Notes on the island.

A few places and experiences shaped our week in Providenciales. These are the stops I actually made; check current hours and logistics before you set out.

02 / EXPERIENCE IT

Five days, one big birthday.

Beach mornings, a rainy floating party that nobody wanted to leave, a night at the Fish Fry, a private chef at the villa and a boat day worth repeating.

Day by day.

Follow the trip from airport arrival and grocery run to the beach, birthday dinner and that afternoon on the Big Ben catamaran.

Rhode’s take.

Do the boat day. Do the Fish Fry. If you’re traveling as a group, consider a private chef and a villa where everyone can gather.

03 / PLAN IT

Make the week your own.

A group trip takes a little more coordination. I’d book the villa and car early, leave room on the credit card for the rental hold, and check the Fish Fry’s current schedule before assigning a night to it.
